The Society of Exploration Geophysicists International Exposition and 76th Annual Meeting takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, 1-6 October 2006.
The Society of Exploration Geophysicists is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the science of applied geophysics and the education of geophysicists. SEG, founded in 1930, fosters the expert and ethical practice of geophysics in the exploration and development of natural resources, in characterizing the near surface, and in mitigating earth hazards.
The Society, which has more than 29,000 members (and growing) in 136 countries, representing 53 sections and associated societies in 31 countries, and 338 student chapters in 63 countries, fulfills its mission through its publications, conferences, forums, websites, and educational opportunities. SEG is proud to have achieved so many milestones during its relatively short history of supporting the global geoscience community.
The Geo People will be attending the SEG in New Orleans and look forward to meeting you there. If you would like to meet at this conference, please contact us and we will be pleased to arrange a time.
