The next meeting of the PESGB Surrey Group is at 18:00 at The White House public house Guildford, Surrey, UK.
The objective of the Society is to promote, for the public benefit, education in the scientific and technical aspects of petroleum exploration. This is achieved by variety of means.
The first PESGB regional branch was established in Aberdeen in 1985 and over the following years the Society has introduced other regional branches in the North West of England, Surrey and Ireland. These groups hold regular local lecture meetings and other educational activities. The largest of the regional branches is Aberdeen which has its own President and President Elect.
PESGB Special Interest Groups are groups of members who share a particular interest. These also arrange meetings and other educational activities.
The PESGB has links with other societies and charities in the same field. The PESGB is formally affiliated to the AAPG, SEG and EAGE and has a Memorandum of Understanding with the SPE, LPS, London Geological Society, EAGE, SEAPEX and AFES. The Society also holds various joint activities with other Societies and organisations.
Andrea Collins, a director of The Geo People, will be attending and looks forward to meeting you there.
