The provision of processing supervision and QC for two seismic processing projects in London and Paris

Actions

• Reporting variations to the contractually agreed time schedule between the contractor and the client/operator
• Reporting variations to the cost of the processing project, for a 2D transition zone project in Bangladesh and seismic reprocessing of a shallow water 3D seismic project offshore Ghana
• Informing client of most recent delivery date for final products
• Represent the client/operator at meetings,
• Undertake seismic design
• Process/QC seismic data in the client’s offices.
• Take minutes of all project related meetings attended including the detailed seismic processing information discussed at the meeting
• Prepare a progress report each week to the client, incorporating observations and recommendations from meetings with the contractor
• Forward all processing tests to the client with notes to accompany the data
• Contribute to other processing-related projects for example data management and/or other aspects of processing projects
  
  

Results

• At the end of each project, a short report was submitted highlighting the objectives of the work and whether or not these objectives were achieved. Conclusions and recommendations were an important part of these reports
• Technical and commercial supervision of seismic processing and seismic reprocessing completed, without a requirement for the operator to be physically present, therefore providing a more cost-effective solution
• The seismic processing was conducted to the required industry standards and the necessary QC steps were implemented by the seismic processing team
